NAVY

 

BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair, Norfolk, Virginia, is being awarded a $139,818,901 firm-fixed-price contract for the execution of USS Tortuga (LSD 46) fiscal 2018 modernization period Chief of Naval Operations availability.  This availability will include a combination of maintenance, modernization, and repair of USS Tortuga.  This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $183,794,039.  Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by May 2019.  Fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance (Navy); and fiscal 2018 other procurement (Navy) funding in the amount of $139,818,901 will be obligated at time of award; and funds in the amount of $112,553,445 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using full and open competition via Federal Business Opportunities with two offers received.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity (N00024-18-C-4403).

 

ARMY

 

Cubic Global Defense Inc., San Diego, California, has been awarded a $61,391,479 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Joint Readiness Training Center rotational training to prepare soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, and other military forces for deployment to theaters of varying conflict. Bids were solicited via the Internet with four received. Work will be performed in Fort Polk, Louisiana, with an estimated completion date of Nov. 24, 2022. Fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $61,391,479 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, is the contracting activity (W91247-18-C-0001).

 

Straub Construction Inc.,* Fallbrook, California, has been awarded a $9,745,000 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of six new buildings to include the Airfield Support Building, Family Wellness Center, Fitness Center Annex, Hazardous Material Storage Building, Laundry Facility, and a Training Aids Support Center at Fort Hunter Liggett. Bids were solicited via the Internet with nine received. Work will be performed in Fort Hunter Liggett, California, with an estimated completion date of May 1, 2019. Fiscal 2014, 2015, and 2016 military construction funds in the amount of $9,745,000 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Kentucky, is the contracting activity (W912QR-17-C-0047).

 

Burlington Engineering Corp.,* Montpelier, Vermont, has been awarded an $8,817,000 firm-fixed-price contract for Tacchi CNC lathes. Bids were solicited via the Internet with one received. Work will be performed in Watervliet, New York, with an estimated completion date of Nov. 15, 2019. Fiscal 2017 Army working capital funds in the amount of $8,817,000 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Michigan, is the contracting activity (W911PT-18-C-0004).

 

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

 

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Connecticut, has been awarded an estimated $48,996,827 modification (P00047) to a five-year base contract (SPE4AX-15-D-9002) with one five-year option period adding consumable spare parts used in various weapon systems. This is a firm-fixed-price requirements contract. Location of performance is Connecticut, with a June 30, 2020, performance completion date. Using customers are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and foreign military sales. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2018 defense working capital funds. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, Richmond, Virginia.

 

McRae Industries Inc.,* Mt. Gilead, North Carolina, has been awarded a maximum $40,434,006 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for hot weather combat boots. This was a competitive acquisition with two responses received. This is a one-year base contract with four one-year option periods. Maximum dollar amount is for the life of the contract. Location of performance is North Carolina, with a Nov. 14, 2022, performance completion date. Using military service is Army. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2018 through 2023 defense working capital funds. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (SPE1C1-18-D-1011).

 

Maranatha Industries Inc., Payne, Ohio, has been awarded a maximum $13,500,000 firm-fixed-price contract for handsets. This was a competitive acquisition with one offer received. This is a five-year contract with no option periods. Location of performance is Ohio, with a Nov. 14, 2022, performance completion date. Using military service is Army. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2018 through 2023 Army working capital funds. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland (SPRBL1-18-D-0001).

 

AIR FORCE

 

Odyssey Systems Consulting Group Ltd.,* Wakefield, Massachusetts, has been awarded a $16,495,203 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price, and cost-reimbursable modification (57) to a previously awarded task order (FA8721-13-D-0002-0007) for professional acquisition support services, and to provide advisory and assistance services to the battle management directorate. Work will be performed at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, with an expected completion date of Nov. 17, 2018.  This contract involves foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Fiscal 2016, 2017, and 2018 operations and maintenance; research, development, test, and evaluation; and other procurement funds in the amount of $9,957,997 are being obligated at time of award.  Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.
