Atualevao’s journey reflects a steadfast dedication to duty. After graduating from Graceland University in 2014, she enlisted in the Navy six years ago, driven by a commitment to serve and excel. As a hospital corpsman, she has consistently demonstrated technical proficiency and resilience. Her first assignment took her to Naval Hospital, Pensacola, Florida, for two years, followed by three years aboard the USS Blue Ridge, an amphibious command ship homeported in Yokosuka, Japan. She now applies her expertise at Naval Medical Center Point Loma Clinic in San Diego, ensuring the health and readiness of her fellow sailors.

As a team captain, she has honed her leadership capabilities, facing challenges head-on and fostering unity among her teammates. “Being a captain has taught me to tackle adversity with confidence and keep the team moving forward,” she added.

These ambitions underscore her commitment to leadership, service, and maintaining the high standards expected of a naval professional.

Through her work as a corpsman and her achievements in volleyball, Atualevao exemplifies the merit-based excellence and readiness that the Defense Department values in its all-volunteer force.
