Put your game face on! Sailors assigned to the USS Ronald Reagan raced into action to show their appreciation for Sullivans Elementary School students at Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan, during Month of the Military Child.
While being in the military is no easy feat, the challenges don't just impact service members. Therefore, every April the Defense Department honors military children, who also face struggles that come with their parents' jobs. The Defense Department also partners with local communities to commemorate the month.

During the sailors' visit, they kept the children on their toes and smiling from ear-to-ear with races, tug-of-war, basketball games and more.
These community events serve as a reminder of military children's strength while recognizing their unique sacrifices.
