Water Purification System Helps Marines Go Green

Drinking water is a necessity anywhere the military operates so Marines assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit assembled a portable water purification system that is energy efficient and would sustain them through a wide range of simulated combat operations and training exercises.

Marine Corps Sgt. Marygrace Barros, a water support technician, supervised the operation, which required unloading and carrying parts of the system to the beach before putting it together.
