U.S. and Qatari troops conducted an airborne insertion exercise in Doha, Qatar, to strengthen partnerships between U.S. and coalition forces.
During the exercise, U.S. airmen used a C-130 aircraft to airlift 19 U.S. soldiers. A Qatar Emiri Air Force C-17 aircraft airlifted 25 Qatari troops.
As the 1st Theater Sustainment Command's inaugural static-line airborne operation in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, the exercise fulfilled the command's strategic approach of enhancing people, partnerships and innovation throughout the area.
Qatari troops say they are grateful for the partnership and have created a lifelong trust with U.S. service members.
