Service Members Prove Thanksgiving Is Universal

The menus may look a bit different at each military installation but the Thanksgiving joy is the same, no matter where you go. From New York to Japan, service members dine on traditional Thanksgiving fare and explore local cuisines during deployments.

Whether they're dining on ham, turkey and stuffing at Fort Drum and South Korea, indulging in crab legs in Italy, or trying egg rolls in Okinawa, it takes careful planning to make these meals happen. The Defense Logistics Agency ensures over 360,000 pounds of food get delivered to our men and women in service on Thanksgiving.
