U.S. and Norwegian troops recently bundled up for frigid temperatures in Alaska to participate in Arctic Edge, a U.S. Northern Command exercise.

During the exercise, U.S. service members and Norwegian naval special operations commandos conducted high mobility artillery rocket system live-fire training, medicine exercises and experiments, water jumps, icy dives and more.

The exercise is designed to demonstrate the U.S. military's capabilities in extreme cold weather, joint force readiness and U.S. military commitment to mutual strategic security interests in the Arctic region.
