Statement by Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis on the Confirmation of Dr. Heather Wilson as Secretary of the Air Force

I congratulate Dr. Heather Wilson on her confirmation as secretary of the Air Force by the U.S. Senate. Dr. Wilson is an experienced, dedicated public servant with distinguished service in uniform, as an elected official, and as a leader in academia. I am confident that she will make an exceptional secretary. I appreciate Dr. Wilson's willingness to serve and her commitment to our men and women in uniform.
