General Officer Assignments



The chief of staff, Army announces the assignments of the following general officers:

Maj. Gen. Sean M. Jenkins, deputy commanding general, Installation Management Command, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, to chief, Office of Security Cooperation-Iraq, Iraq.

Maj. Gen. Gary W. Johnston, deputy chief of staff, intelligence, Resolute Support Mission, North Atlantic Treaty Organization; and director, J-2, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, Operation Freedom’s Sentinel, Afghanistan, to commanding general, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Maj. Gen. John S. Kolasheski, deputy chief of staff, G-3/5/7, U.S. Army Forces Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to commanding general, 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley, Fort Riley, Kansas.
