General Officer Assignments

The chief of staff, Air Force announced the following assignments:

Maj. Gen. Eric T. Fick, program executive officer for fighters and bombers, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, to director, Global Reach Programs, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia.

Brig. Gen. Michael J. Schmidt, program executive officer for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and special operations forces, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, to program executive officer for fighters and bombers, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Col. James R. Cluff, who has been selected for the grade of brigadier general, from senior military assistant to the under secretary of defense for intelligence, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia, to vice commander, 25th Air Force, Air Combat Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.

Brig. Gen. Scott A. Howell, who has been selected for the grade of major general, from director of operations, Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Florida, to commander, Special Operations Joint Task Force-Afghanistan, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, U.S. Central Command, Kabul, Afghanistan.
