Department of Defense Identifies Navy Casualty

 The Department of Defense announced today the death of a sailor who was supporting Operation Odyssey Lightning.

Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Fuels) Airman Devon M. Faulkner, 24, of North Carolina, died Sept. 20 of a non-combat-related injury while underway. The incident is under investigation.

He was assigned to USS Wasp (LHD 1), forward deployed in the central Mediterranean Sea.
