Defense Department officials today released suicide information from the first quarter of this year.

The Quarterly Suicide Report, or QSR, is intended to communicate the department’s suicide data on a routine basis. It summarizes suicide counts for the active, reserve and National Guard components from January through March 2015, officials said, and it also includes total suicide counts for 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Service members and their families who need support can reach out to the Military Crisis Line, which offers free and confidential support for those in crisis.

The breakdown of the suicide rates, along with more support services information, is available at the Defense Suicide Prevention Office website, officials added.
