Flag Officer Announcements

Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

Navy Vice Adm. Kevin M. Donegan for reappointment to the rank of vice admiral, and for assignment as director, Navy Staff, N09B, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia.  Donegan is currently serving as commander, U.S. Naval Forces, Central Command; and commander, Fifth Fleet, Bahrain. 

Navy Rear Adm. Matthew J. Kohler for appointment to the rank of vice admiral, and for assignment as commander, Naval Information Forces, Suffolk, Virginia.

Navy Rear Adm. Andrew L. Lewis for appointment to the rank of vice admiral, and for assignment as deputy chief of naval operations for operations, plans, and strategy, N3/N5, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia.  Lewis is currently serving as vice director for operations, J3, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia.
