General Officer Announcement

Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis announced today that the president has made the following nomination:

Air Force Brig. Gen. Sam C. Barrett has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general.  Barrett is currently serving as the commander, Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, U.S. Transportation Command, Norfolk, Virginia.
