General Officer Announcements

Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick M. Shanahan announced today that the president made the following nominations:

Air Force Lt. Gen. Marshall B. Webb for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general, and assignment as commander, Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Air Force Base, Texas.  Webb is currently serving as commander, Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Florida.

Air Force Maj. Gen. David S. Nahom for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general, and assignment as deputy chief of staff, Plans And Programs, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia.  Nahom is currently serving as director of programs, Deputy Chief of Staff, Plans and Programs, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia.
