Secretary Esper noted that President Trump's recent hosting of President Battulga in Washington, DC reflected shared interests in the Indo-Pacific and the strong state of the bilateral defense and security relationship.
The U.S. defense chief thanked President Battulga for Mongolia's commitment to the existing system of rules and norms governing security and economic relations that have ensured peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.
