General Officer Announcement

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the president has made the following nomination:

Air Force Maj. Gen. Stephen L. Davis for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as inspector general of the Department of the Air Force, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.  Davis is currently serving as director, Global Power Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Austin Defense Secretary
