General Officer Announcement

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the president has made the following nomination:

Air Force Brig. Gen. Rebecca R. Vernon for appointment to the grade of major general, with assignment as the deputy judge advocate general of the Air Force, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.  Vernon is currently serving as the director, Military Justice and Discipline, Judge Advocate General’s Corps, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.
