Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with Slovak Minister of Defense Jaroslav Nad' to commend Slovakia’s commitment to providing critical defensive capability to Ukraine alongside other NATO Allies and partners. Secretary Austin thanked Minister Nad' for his leadership and for Slovakia's efforts to both help Ukraine and defend NATO territory along the Eastern Flank.
