Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with French Minister of Armed Forces Florence Parly regarding the situation in Ukraine. The Secretary commended France for its security assistance contributions to Ukraine. The leaders discussed the importance of continued Allied and partner assistance to Ukraine, particularly as Russian forces launch a renewed offensive in eastern Ukraine. The leaders agreed to continue to closely collaborate on these issues.
