General Officer Announcement

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the president has made the following nomination:

Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas A. Bussiere for appointment to the grade of general, with assignment as commander, Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. Bussiere is currently serving as deputy commander, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Nebraska.
