Readout of Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Dr. Colin Kahl's Meeting With Zukan Helez, Defense Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Department of Defense Spokesman Lt. Col. David Herndon provided the following readout:

Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Dr. Colin Kahl met with Defense Minister Zukan Helez of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) at the Pentagon, April 12.

The two leaders discussed the nations' strong bilateral relationship, and Under Secretary Kahl conveyed the United States' unwavering commitment to the peace and stability of BiH and the Western Balkans. The United States proudly supports the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo and the Alliance's partnership with BiH. The United States believes that a strong, modern, multiethnic Armed Force is the cornerstone of security for all citizens of BiH.
