Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Navy Adm. Lisa M. Franchetti for appointment to the grade of admiral, with assignment as chief of naval operations, Washington, D.C. Franchetti is currently serving as vice chief of naval operations, Washington, D.C.
Navy Adm. Samuel J. Paparo Jr. for appointment to the grade of admiral, with assignment as commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Paparo is currently serving as commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
Navy Vice Adm. James W. Kilby for appointment to the grade of admiral, with assignment as vice chief of naval operations, Washington, D.C. Kilby is currently serving as deputy commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Virginia.
Navy Vice Adm. Stephen T. Koehler for appointment to the grade of admiral, with assignment as commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Koehler is currently serving as director for Strategy, Plans and Policy, J5, Joint Staff; and senior member, U.S. Delegation to the United States Military Staff, Washington, D.C.
