During the four-day visit, Under Secretary Moultrie and the delegation met with Israeli Ministry of Defense Political-Military Director Dror Shalom and other key senior leaders in the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the Israeli Defense Forces Intelligence Corps to discuss enhanced bilateral cooperation for greater regional security and gain firsthand key insights into the challenges faced by Israel.  The leaders also discussed the Hezbollah threat, efforts to counter Iran’s destabilizing activities across the region, and explored avenues to further strengthen bilateral intelligence and defense cooperation.

Under Secretary Moultrie and the delegation also met with Director General of the Israel Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. (res.) Eyal Zamir and reaffirmed the ironclad defense and intelligence partnership between the U.S. and Israel.

The trip included site visits and discussions at several IDF Intelligence Corps bases, a tour of the Israel Ministry of Defense's National Hall for Israel's Fallen, and a visit to the Yad VaShem Holocaust Memorial Museum where Under Secretary Moultrie paid his respects to his hosts and their fallen by laying a wreath.

Under Secretary Moultrie thanked his Israeli hosts and reaffirmed our shared commitment to countering all destabilizing activities that threaten regional security and our mutual interest in strengthening the defense and intelligence partnership.
