The session focused on evaluating the current security landscape, with a particular emphasis on the implications of Russia’s actions in Ukraine and the long-term implications for U.S. policy. The board explored Russia’s military evolution, U.S. deterrence strategies, and global partnerships.

DPB members met with senior defense leaders, including Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III; Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen.
