Readout of Deputy Secretary of Defense Bob Work's Meeting with Tunisian Minister of Defense Farhat Horchani

Deputy Secretary Work hosted the Tunisian Minister of Defense, His Excellency Farhat Horchani for a meeting at the Pentagon today.

The two leaders discussed the importance of the U.S.-Tunisian defense partnership, Tunisia's security situation, and counterterrorism assistance.

Work committed to continuing to grow a military relationship with Tunisia.

Both leaders stated that they look forward to working together well into the future.

The minister of defense is visiting Washington, D.C. to attend the 30th U.S.-Tunisian Military Commission, which deepens cooperation and addresses common security challenges.
