General Officer Announcement

Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced today that the president has made the following nomination:

 Air Force Lt. Gen. Anthony J. Rock for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as the inspector general of the Air Force, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia.  Rock is currently serving as chief, Office of the Defense Representative-Pakistan (ODR-P), U.S. Central Command, U.S. Embassy, Islamabad, Pakistan.
