Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced today that the president has made the following nominations:
Air Force Lt. Gen. Tod D. Wolters for appointment to the rank of general, and for assignment as commander, U.S. Air Forces Europe; commander, U.S. Air Forces Africa; commander, Allied Air Command; and director, Joint Air Power Competence Centre, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Wolters is currently serving as director for operations, J-3, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia.
Air Force Maj. Gen. Stayce D. Harris for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general, and for assignment as assistant vice chief of staff; and director, Air Staff, U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia. Harris is currently serving as commander, 22d Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia.
Air Force Maj. Gen. Jeffrey L. Harrigian for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general, and for assignment as commander, U.S. Air Forces Central Command, Air Combat Command, Southwest Asia. Harrigian is currently serving as director, F-35 Integration Office, Office of the Chief of Staff, U.S. Air Force, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia.
