Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced today that the president has made the following nomination:

Navy Capt. Paul A. Stader for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Stader is currently serving as director, Strategy and Policy Division, N51, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, District of Columbia.
