The Combined Federal Campaign is the world's largest annual workplace charity campaign. This year Moody Air Force Base contributed to the campaign by raising more than $110,000.
The CFC here ran Nov. 15 through Dec. 22, two weeks shorter than a normal CFC, but Team Moody was still able to achieve its goal.
"I want to thank all the military and civilian members on base who donated to the campaign -- reaching our goal wouldn't have been possible without them," said U.S. Air Force Maj. Joe Goldsworthy, 75th Fighter Squadron assistant director of operations.
Pledges made by federal civilian and military donors during the campaign season support eligible non-profit organizations that provide benefits throughout the world.
2011 marked the 50th anniversary of CFC and since the start of the campaign in 1961, federal employees have donated approximately $7 billion to charities through the CFC.
