President Ashraf Ghani to Speak at Pentagon Courtyard

March 19, 2015

Secretary of Defense Ash Carter will host President Ghani, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah, and other senior members of the Afghan government on March 23 at 8 a.m. at a ceremony in the Pentagon Courtyard. Secretary Carter and President Ghani will make remarks to service members and veterans who have served in Afghanistan to thank them for their continued efforts and sacrifices.

Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the River Entrance only. Plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call 703-697-5131 for escort into the building.
