Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company LLC, Oak Brook, Illinois, was awarded an $88,526,495 firm-fixed-price contract for Mississippi comprehensive barrier island restoration, Ship Island Phase One. Bids were solicited via the Internet with three received. Work will be performed in Harrison County, Mississippi, with an estimated completion date of April 26, 2018. Fiscal 2014 other funds in the amount of $88,526,495 were obligated at the time of the award. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Alabama, is the contracting activity (W91278-17-C-0008).
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
AvKARE Inc., Pulaski, Tennessee, has been awarded a maximum $75,843,792 firm-fixed-price requirements contract for extended release metformin, a type 2 diabetes medication. This is a one-year base contract with four one-year option periods. The maximum dollar amount is for the life of the contract. This was a competitive acquisition with one response received. Locations of performance are Tennessee and India, with a Jan. 17, 2022, performance completion date. Using customers are Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, Indian Health Services, and Federal Bureau of Prisons. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2017 through fiscal 2022 defense working capital funds. Raytheon Co., Andover, Massachusetts, has been awarded a maximum $8,086,413 firm-fixed-price contract for radio frequency exiters. This was a sole-source acquisition using justification from Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies of services with satisfy requirements." This is a 20-month contract with no option periods. Location of performance is Massachusetts, with a Sept. 30, 2018, performance completion date. Using military service is Army. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2017 defense working capital funds. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama (SPRRA2-17-C-0006). CORRECTION: The contract announced on Dec. 28, 2016, for Timken Aerospace Transmissions LLC, Manchester, Connecticut (SPRRA1-17-D-0014), for $25,004,500, was announced with an incorrect award date. The correct award date is Jan. 18, 2017.
NAVY
ManTech Systems Engineering Corp., Fairfax, Virginia, is being awarded an $11,238,775 cost-plus-fixed-fee level of effort and cost-only modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-14-C-4110) to exercise an option for specific systems operation, sustainment, and support services for the Navy Ship Maintenance and Logistics Information Systems (SMLIS) program. This option exercise provides uninterrupted enterprise support to the SMLIS program, including engineering support in the areas of information technology life cycle planning, operations and sustainment, documentation, program management, application technical refresh, testing, training, and deployment. These efforts are required to ensure the successful development, deployment, implementation, and operation of the SMLIS program. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia (75 percent); Rocket Center, West Virginia (11percent); San Diego, California (4 percent); Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania (3 percent); Washington, District of Columbia (2 percent); Kittery, Maine (2 percent); less than one percent each in Fairfield, California; Hoover, Alabama; New Orleans, Louisiana; Richmond, Virginia; and is expected to be completed by April 2017. Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance (Navy) funding in the amount of $1,889,472 will be obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
