Austin III spoke by phone with U.K. Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace today to discuss progress in the retrograde from Afghanistan and other issues of mutual interest. Secretary Austin expressed his appreciation for the U.K.’s commitment to our defense partnership and looks forward to seeing Secretary of State Wallace at the NATO Summit in Brussels on June 14, 2021.
