The Defense Department is working closely with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Health and Human Services and the State Department to provide support in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
Data includes Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard. Partially vaccinated represents the total number of people who received at least one dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series. Fully vaccinated represents the number of people who have received the second dose in a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series or one dose of the single-shot Johnson and Johnsons Janssen COVID-19 vaccine. Data is reflected on an “as of” M-W-F schedule. There can be a delay between the time a vaccination record occurs and appears in a health record system. Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) has been granted for use of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine among people aged 16 years and older and for use of both the Moderna vaccine and the Johnson and Johnson Janssen vaccine among people aged 18 years and older. COVID-19 vaccines available under pre-licensure status, such as an emergency use authorization (EUA), are voluntary for Service members, though highly encouraged.
Follow the Defense Department’s efforts to protect people, ensure mission readiness and support the whole-of-nation response.
