The Corps celebrated its 233rd birthday in the newly-opened Marine Corps Corridor in the Pentagon, Nov. 7, 2008. Guests included Secretary of the Navy Donald C. Winter, more than 100 Marines, sailors, civilians and other members of the joint staff. The Marine Corps was founded Nov. 10, 1775.
